Sell On Commission

Lancashire Medals can offer the following service to clients wishing to list their medals for sale on our website.

This service has proved most satisfactory for clients not wishing to consign their items to auction.

The selling price is fixed, this figure is mutually agreed with the client and Lancashire Medals. No reserve fees are incurred, as no item will be sold for less than the agreed amount.

Our commission fees for this service are as follows :


10%  for items selling up to £1,000.

8%    for items selling for over £1,000.

6%   for items selling for over £2,000.

Our commission fee is negotiable for clients who may wish to sell a collection, or for any items which are considered to be particularly desirable. Please ring to discuss in person.

Any item withdrawn from sale, upon the sellers request during the listing period, will incure a withdrawal listing charge of £15. This charge covers administration costs incurred by us when listing your item for sale.

SETTING THE SELLING PRICE

Many clients will know the value of their items, and have the experience to suggest a realistic selling price in todays current market. We are happy to advise any client unsure about setting the selling price. Only in the case where Lancashire Medals consider that the price required by the seller may prevent an item from selling, would we contact the client to suggest a revised selling price.

LISTING PERIOD

Lancashire Medals will list your item for 30 days on our website, should your item fail to sell within this time, we will contact you by email or telephone so you may choose one of the following options:-
 

  1. To suggest a revised selling price (subject to an extended listing fee);
  2. Extend your listing for a further 30 days, to which an listing extension fee of £15 will apply. (This will be refunded, should your item sell)
  3. To request the return of your item and be advised of the return postage costs to be paid prior to despatch.
